Blemish free skin!

  • Clean, blemish-free skin improves more than just your beauty, it gives you a boost of confidence too. Stress, hormones, your body's chemistry and diet play a big part in your skin breakouts. Your skin's status is also dependent on your nationality and age. Quality skin care products that contain strong enough ingredients are important. Vitamin C, E, A , beta green tea, aloe, salacyid acid, and benzoid perioxide are some to name a few.

  • Our skin is exposed to dust, dirt, makeup and sweat. When possible try to wash your face after exposure to dust and pollution. It is very important to cleanse before going to bed t allow the skin to breathe and rejuvenate. Sleeping with make-up on will increase the probability of pores becoming blocked and buildups in the pores causing blackheads. Get at least 7 hours of sleep.
  • Dieting can be helpful in achieving a fresh complexion. By cleansing your body with clean foods such as fresh, raw vegetables and fruits with plenty of water can help overall detox the body. Try to stay away from fatty foods and processed foods. Get tested to see if you are possibly having an allergic reaction to foods that cause slight reactions, like integestion or bloating, etc. Many times people are intolerant to wheat or dairy products. They may be causing more of a reaction than you are aware of.
  • Fact: Keeping fit and maintaining your exercise plan can contribute to a new and more healthy you. After your work out, cleanse the face and body to wash away any excess oils and bacteria from outside sources, especially shared gym equipment.

Take care of your body and it will take care of you.

February is the month of love.

Even if it is the month of love, there's still time for health and beauty. Go to the gym with your loved one, or do a quick exercise at home. Here's a few tips on how to stay fit.

5 Factors of Fitness.

1) EXERCISE.
At least 30 min of cardiovascular exercise 3 times a week and weight training at least 2 days a week.

Benefits of exercise include:
- Reduced risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and certain cancers.

- Decreased feelings of depression and anxiety.

- Weight control.

- Healthy bones, muscles and joints.

- Increased psychological well-being.

2) NUTRITION.
You have heard the saying "you are what you eat", and that is so true! The very molecules of the food you ingest are broken down and utilized for energy and the replacement of your cells.

- Food = fuel.

- Junk food = low energy, access fat storage, bad skin, foggy mind etc,.

- Nutritious food = high energy, calorie burning and improved weight loss.

3) SLEEP.
This component of fitness is often overlooked. Adequate rest is crucial to your state of well-being, as it is the time your body recovers from the day, replenishes and rejuvenates your body's organs and tissues, restores and synthesizes protein, etc,.

- For most adults, 7 to 8 hours a night appears to be the optimal amount of sleep.

- Getting too little sleep creates a "sleep debt", which is much like being overdrawn at a bank.

- You should feel well rested upon awaking.

- A sleep deficit can lead to a decrease in immune system function, impairment of memory a decreased physical memory.

4) POSITIVE MINDSET.
A positive attitude has been proven to enhance the immune system which helps prevent and fights off diseases. A positive mindset will help you handle stress. Because of this strong connection between the health of the mind and the health of the body it is important to stabilize your emotions.

- Seek out circumstances that make you feel positive.

- Avoid situations that cause you distress.

- Use stress reduction techniques to address the stresses that you can't control.

- When thinking a negative though, stop yourself and think of a way you can turn it into positive.

- Be thankful everyday for what you have in your life.

- Don't let the little things bother you; let them go! Your body will thank you.

5) EDUCATION.
Breeds motivation and motivation breeds success. The more educated you are about what makes you healthy, the more likely you will be to adopt those habits.

- Read fitness magazines, industry journals or health & fitness related books.

- Ask your trainer or someone educated in the field questions about your health.

- Research articles online.

Skin Care Tips:
(Supplements)

-Vitamin A. Keeps the skin smooth and moist.
-Vitamin B. Provides diverse functions, helps improve the skin's ability to uptake oxygen, and to tolerate UV exposure.
-Vitamin C. Is very important for the production of collagen. To apply it directly is anti-inflammatory and helps to even out your skin tone.

(Water)
Water is the most under-utilized healthy skin product on the market. Drinking water is essential for many bodily functions such as; circulation, digestion, absorbtion and excretion.

(Detoxification)
There are many ways to "detox" the body. Typically, dry brush exfoliation can be a regular routine before your morning shower which creates lymphatic stimulation and helps blood circulation. Another way to assist with detoxification is to increase water consumption and include more fiber in your diet by adding whole grains, beans, legumes, high fiber snacks including apples, nuts and seeds.
